I took up the challenge this year to make a blog post every day. At first, it sounded like an easy task, but I soon discovered it more challenging than I ever imagined. For part of the year-long adventure, I explored different styles of poetry. I decided to revisit many of these styles in November. NaNoWriMo takes up most of my time during this month. Plus, the weather turns cold, making it hard to go on an adventure unless Rooster and I decide to visit our baby chick in New York City. Sea Food isn’t on the menu in November, but we are still experiencing a Nice Kettle of Fish.

Imagine how life could be.
Contagious fear bothers me
Evidence we’ve all gone a little crazy.
Kleptomaniac of our favorite wish
Eclipse of health and happiness
Tears of helplessness we can’t dismiss.
Tales of woe we tell one another.
Let us live life without restraint.
Expectations overshadow cold reality.
Officials restrict our movement and conversation.
Faced with this reality are we still free?
First, they say yes, then they say no
Incapable of giving us a straight answer.
Shamans of disinformation and woe
Heavy-handed striptease dancer.

Contagious fear is an awful pandemic these days. My husband and I are thankfully quite immune. Have a lovely weekend 💚
