Day Thirty of my 365 Days of Thankfulness

It took weeks for me to decide on a blogging challenge for 2022. I didn’t want to lose the momentum I achieved in 2021. The light bulb moment came while I got my morning steps in the gym. Ideas come to me when I walk. I know the plan isn’t original. After all, I know of people who have done the 365 days of thankfulness challenge. I’ve never attempted to express this level of gratitude in any official capacity. How hard can it be, right? This post expresses day thirty of my 365 days of thankfulness.

Day Thirty of my 365 Days of Thankfulness

Day thirty of my 365 days of happiness brought a blessing. I am grateful that the medication I’ve been taking received a price reduction from $225.00 a month to $47.00. Rooster and I live on a fixed income since retirement. One of our highest monthly costs became this medication. I tried other cheaper meds but had to stop because of the side effects. So Far, the one I’m taking is the best option. My A1C blood test says I’m a 6.9. This medication works for me. I am grateful for the $180.00 savings in prescription cost.

I don’t know what caused the drop in prescription cost, but I’ve always been told not to look a gift horse in the mouth. I’ve never understood the exact meaning of the cliché, but I’ve heard it often enough to know there must be at least a grain of truth in the saying. All I am certain of is the cost reduction blesses me.

The Old lady speaks

I am an old lady. My glimpses of thankfulness may not be the same as the ones you might select. I believe we can all relate to the blessings in life, even during a pandemic. They are landmarks in our human experience. Thankfulness is an adventure we can all take together. Would you please leave a comment and share with me some of the things you are thankful for today.

I am the author of Saving the Hen House. I didn't know when I started it would turn into a series. I love to ride motorcycles, the blues, my family, and going on adventures. This old hen rocks.
