Day Seventy-Eight of my 365 Days of Thankfulness

March crept up on me. I was so captivated by the cold days of February that I almost allowed the pages of the calendar to turn unnoticed. That would have been a shame. I’m still plugging away at my 2022 blogging challenge. Each day I am discovering new ways that my life is blessed. Despite all the tragedy and drama in the world, I am discovering I have so much to be thankful for in my life. The trick is to find those blessings in the mundane. I start my day searching for moments of appreciation in my life. The events or things might seem small and insignificant, but they add up to a giant pile of blessings. I’ve never attempted to express gratitude as the primary subject of my writing. This post covers day seventy-eight of my 365 days of thankfulness.

Day Seventy-Eight of my 365 Days of Thankfulness

On day seventy-eight of my 365 days of thankfulness, I am grateful the walking track remained almost deserted. I didn’t have to navigate around slow movers or have runners move up behind me at a fast pace. Everyone stayed in their lane and had bright Sunday smiles spread across their faces. Sometimes young kids run on the track and cut off the slow movers. I am one of the slow movers. Today, I almost had the track all to myself.

This old lady speaks.

This old lady’s opinion is thanksgiving is a matter of choice. Even in the darkness, we can choose to seek the light. My blessings may not be the same as yours because I’m old. I bet if you dig deep, you can come up with something to be thankful for today. Part of the problem with modern life is we neglect to see the small things that make up our common human experience. Thankfulness is an adventure we can all enjoy together. Would you please leave a comment and share with me some of the things you are thankful for today.
