Entry 237: In One of Those Moods

I’ve never been good at keeping a journal. It all boils down to consistency. There are days when I skip making an entry. Life can crowd out the time I need to write down my thoughts about a day’s events. I’ve also been reluctant to pose as an expert on the writing process. If I knew anything of value about writing, my work would already be in print. I went out on a skinny limb in 2022 when I shared my 365 days of thankfulness. The exercise forced me to put myself out there with my soft belly exposed. Thank you for joining me on my journey in the written word. Therefore, I plan to keep a journal in 2023 to document my progress. I will call this post Entry 237: In One of Those Moods.

Note: I consider editing an important part of the writing process. Editing is where all the artistry happens.

My morning writing before I started Entry 237: In One of Those Moods

I am confident I fixed my Microsoft Word issue during my Amazing Buchanan and the Beast edit. The only way to know for sure is to read back through the entire book, which will be my next round of editing. I already planned to go through that process as my last round of finishing up this round of editing.

I aim to write a few Golden Shovel Poems this afternoon and do a little posting. It is still early. I might get around to it before I have to paint. We have a few major things to do before the apartment is ready. Then we have to start on the downstairs.

The book I am currently reading right now and Entry 237: In One of Those Moods

I’m moving through Jo Jo Moyes’ The Giver of Stars. Lizzy finally shows up. She recovered from polio. She wears a leg brace for one of her legs is shorter than the other. She considers herself to be crippled. Marge has her riding a horse. Alice has sexual trouble in her marriage, and Marge has a secret boyfriend.

What I’m listening to right now and Entry 237: In One of Those Moods

I listened to Melissa Etheridge’s Yes I Am this morning because I am in one of those moods.

I am the author of Saving the Hen House. I didn't know when I started it would turn into a series. I love to ride motorcycles, the blues, my family, and going on adventures. This old hen rocks.
